   This program was designed to help part-time as well as full-time poets who
require the use of a computer to organize their work and keep track of it, not
to forget producing hard copies. To install this program to a given drive,
type "INSTALL" to see all necessary instructions. After the installation of
the program (it is best to install it and use a "working copy" than to use
the original diskette) you can run the program by typing POEMPAD then Enter.

   IMPORTANT NOTE: POEMPAD generates (and uses) a list of "POEMLIST" files.
Do not attempt to use nor modify the POEMLIST.DAT file! This file is not a
regular ASCII file; it is the file where the poem contents are written to.

   If you ever need to backup your work to another drive, use the "BACKUP.BAT"
file by typing "BACKUP <destination drive>:[subdirectories if any]\" and Enter.
BACKUP will copy all POEMLIST files using the date comparison algorithm used
in the KOPY file, that is, BACKUP will automatically copy the newest files
onto the eldest ones.
